i decided to name this year's song of the year:

"time stops" explosions in the sky.

i absolutely love this song and this band. more importantly, this song reminds me of danielle, who is the greatest thing to happen to me. everytime i hear this song, i think of her and how important she is to me. she is always there for me and i feel sorry for those who have not felt the feeling that i get whenever i am with her.

so there you go. i will make my next livejournal post at the end of summer.

well, it's that time again. time where i announce my song of summer 2006. but first, i will list off the finalists. as before, these are just songs that have carried me through summer. here we go.

"bartender" dave matthews band -i listened to it quite a bit and i remember when he played it at his concert
"her name in blood" strung out -the favorite song i listen to when i cut the grass
"snow (hey oh)" red hot chili peppers -awesome song that i listen to virtually every time i drive

something i noticed after viewing various livejournal updates, myspace comments, away messages, etc. :

a lot of you girls seem to find guys very confusing. i can explain this very easily. you are thinking way way too hard. there is nothing to guys. we're all just "walking around, looking around," to quote jerry seinfeld. yea, it seems like some guys are different, but usually it's just a facade. especially in this day and age. most guys think about sex. it's true. it's something everyone needs to accept. BUT! for all you optimists, there ARE good guys out there. a guy who will give you a rose just because it's monday. a guy who still open the door for you.

so my suggestion is this: don't get mad when some guy uses you because you find out what he's truly like. he's just using the same trick all other guys are using. it shouldnt be all that confusing anymore. so instead of getting made when he tricks you, just be happy when you find one who doesnt trick you, and forget about it when you do get fooled, because it's gonna happen more and more.

if anyone reads this, you will know who im talking about. i'm not badmouthing you. i'm just here to help. and i speak for all guys everywhere. so if you think im one of the self-centered asshole guys i mentioned earlier, thats fine by me. this is just merely one man's account.

besides, girls are the confusing ones. girls even confuse themselves, thats why there are so many (WHAT?!) girlfights. you dont see guys fighting for the same reasons girls do, unless they are rich pretty-boys. guys fight for silly reasons too. but we dont confuse each other. we're too stupid to confuse each other.

and if you're mad that i bad-mouthed you and made it seem like i'm better than everyone else, allow me to say this. guys are a bunch of cromagnon-like, testosterone-filled, self-motivated, thoughtless pricks. and i'm a guy. so i'm a cromagnon-like, testosterone-filled, self-motivated, thoughtless prick. it happens.

... after re-reading all this, i question if i should post it. but what the hell? it is america.

well, there really wasnt much thinking involved. this year's song of the year is "notorious thugs" by bone thugs-n-harmony. it was the song of summer, which was badass, and i listened to it before every football game on the bus or in the parking lot with geoff. it's a great song.

welp. it's gettin that time of year where i start to think of a "Song of the Year," a song that truly defines 2005.

this year's "song of summer" was "notorious thugs" by bone thugs, so that's a possible candidate. so is "new noise" by refused (that was the last song i listened to before every football game. another possibility is "america: fuck yea!" by trey parker and fellas, or even "you and me" by lifehouse. "first breath after coma" by explosions in the sky might work. i dont know though. i'll let u know on the 31.

well, we beat central. we sucked so much. we weren't ready. we underestimated them. they played well. it just make sme realize that everyone is gonna save their best game for us. for instance, we play walled lake western at west bloomfield high school at 1 p.m. on saturday. we can't overlook them. they're gonna have their game of the year.

well, we beat brother rice again. they have yet to think of an excuse of how we cheated so far, but i'll keep you posted.

TIME FOR PLAYOFFS. we start off against walled lake central. we get homefield advantage for the first three games. this week's game will probably be at west bloomfield high schol on saturday at 1. you should go. playoff time.

well, we're champions of the toughest league in the state. we beat brother rice 24-21. man, am i happy about that. but in every olsm victory, there is accusations of cheating. whatever.

we play brother rice again next week for the title of catholic league champions, which is essentially the same thing as league champion. the only difference is you get another patch on your jacket.

so. 7 p.m. saturday at ford field, we play rice again

damn good weekend.

well my friends, i am glad to say i never have to see that damn full house backfield of CC ever again. we beat them 17-7. after the game they probably had a weight-lifting party or something.

anyways, now that that's over, we can look ahead to u of d. susan rowe. the woman who filed a complaint to the mhsaa and catholic league. she's the principal of u of d. i'll tell u one thing, the new kids from deporres are ready to seek their revenge for that woman giving them a bad name. its out in ferndale at 3 p.m. saturday.

oh man. saturday at 1. it's our homecoming game. we play delasalle. they're stacked this year. we play at west bloomfield high school because we're expectign a large crowd, and our stands aren't very good. it's pobably better since the weather is shitty, and theyir field is turf, so it wont be a mud bowl.

then afterwards, im going to homecoming with danielle. definately very happy about that. sernior homecoming. it better go well. i dont want anything or anyone fucking it up.
